NASA NIA RASC-AL
Thanks to NASA for sponsoring RASC-AL and allowing us to implement the design skills learned at Virginia Tech. With the money donated our team is able to begin building the rover design and compete in this years competition. NIA and RASC-AL also helped contribute to the edWAR 124ucational and real-world experience exemplified in this competition.
Cell-Con
Cell-Con's partnership with PYREX has advanced the rover's development greatly. With their contribution towards 4 24V Batteries connected in parallel with a 38.4 Amp-Hours capacity along with a charger, they gave the Rover life! Now we'll be mobile! Check out the new decal that Animus will be sporting this competition!
SERVOCITY
Servo City has allowed the team to buy electrical components to be used in the rover arm. The modular arm to be used in collecting rock samples will be using servos from Servo City. Now our rover is able to collect rock samples for points!
General Cable
General Cable helped us start our wire harness for the final rover. Just from the samples sent over, our team is able to complete a lot of work. Having various cable colors also allows us to organize our wire harness efficiently. We are grateful for the 16 AWG wire sent over, and what we will be able to accomplish with this.
